I learned that Ötzi is on display at Tyrol Museum but only through a 40-40 centimeter window because if it were any larger Ötzi's refrigerated room would get to warm and that would hurt the body.
It is very interesting to know that he was the oldest body ever found and that he was named after were he was found outzi valley. But Otzi is not his real name no one knows what his real name is.
I learned that another theory said that he could have die from head trauma. Also that he is displayed in the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in South Tyrol, Italy
I thought it was cool how they kinda got an idea on how he died. They took CAT scans, and they think he died from an arrow wound, and that made him loose consciousness they also believe that he died by hitting his head or passing out cause his aggressor attacked him with a blow to the head
Cool Fact# 1) They're sure that the hole in his head is what killed him and not the arrow.
Cool Fact# 2) That most of his clothing and artifacts have been preserved
I thought that it was intersesting that otzi might have died from a arrow shot to the head instead of the arrow shot to the back.
he could have been in a battle when he died. and that he had a arrow head in his shoulder.
That his skin was still on him, because he was preserved by the ice.
They say that he fell almost for sure. Says the first article. But the second he was killed in hand to hand combat.
otzi sounds very interesting and i would love to lear more about otzi
I found it interesting that they think he hit his head on a rock shortly after getting hit with an arrow in the back... In class we talked about other theories but I had not heard that one yet. So it was quite interesting to hear a different perspective or a different answer to Otzi's death.
I watched a documentary on this when I was younger but that was a long time ago, so I don't remember anything. The only thing I remember is him walking up a hill of some sort and falling in thin ice, and him being ambushed. I didn't know that all those artifacts were found with him. I thought it was interesting hearing the different theories on how he died. It was fun :D
